Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Ichiro Kawabata to M.Auezov SKSU

April 9, 2018 M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University with a working visit to the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan - Ichiro Kawabata and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan - Hideaki Yamadzumi.

The purpose of the visit was to meet with the leadership and conduct an information lecture for students and teachers of the university. During the visit, the delegation met with the Acting Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Aimenov Zh.T. where the parties discussed the opportunities and prospects for cooperation between SKSU and the universities of Japan. Also, Mr. Ambassador met with students and faculty of the faculty "Jurisprudence and International Relations" and the Higher School of Management and Business, where he made a presentation and talked about current relations between Kazakhstan and Japan in the field of economy, culture and education. In his speech, Mr. Kawabata highlighted the main stages in the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Japan, and also invited students to participate in grant educational programs of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Japan.

Summing up the meeting acting vice-rector for strategic development Aimenov Zh.T. thanked the distinguished guest Mr. Ichiro Kawabata for the visit and expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation in the field of education and science.
