REVIVAL BEGINS WITH A LETTER

February 28, 2018, an informational and educational seminar was held on the theme “Revival begins with a letter” under the organization of the Language Development Department of the SKSU named after M. Auezov,where the participants received a lot of useful information about the new alphabet of the Kazakh language based on the Latin script, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 569  from October 26, 2017 with changes from February 19, 2018.

The professor teachers of SKSU,clerks of faculties and higher schools, employees of the Educational Information Center and others participated to the seminar. The seminar began with the speech of the vice-principal for educational and methodical work of  Baibolov K.S. and Head of the Language Development Department Zhamantayeva A.A. Further, the video of the release of program of the Ontustik channel “Objective”  were shown to the seminar participants which devoted to the activities of the Language Development Department, including the promotion of the alphabet of the Kazakh language based on the Latin script, work on the expansion of its use.

Highly qualified specialist in the development of the state language of the Language Development Department, Amirkulova A.K. made a presentation on the theme “New rules in the new spelling”, which heatedly discussed the peculiarities in the use of some words and combinations specified in the draft Rules of the new Latin-based spelling Kazakh language with the audience published January 21,2019.

All participants of the seminar  received answers to their questions during the performance of the Kazakh language teacher Smaiyl A.Kh.

The head of the Language Development Department, Zhamantayeva A.A. established direct contact with the participants by organizing a game session using various methods aimed at spelling the letters of the new alphabet. Participants shared with their views about Latin alphabet. At the end of the seminar, a lecturer of the department "Transport, organization of traffic and movement " of the Faculty of Construction and Transport, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor  Tagaev N.S. from all the participants expressed his gratitude to the team of the Language Development Department for the successful event. The seminar has ended on a solemn note presenting sertificates to the participants.
