October 3, 2018 on the basis of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, the event was held within framework of the competition of presentation of research project “CAPSTONE PROJECT”, implemented by the International Prison Reform (PRI) with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan. The Regional Director of the PRI in Central Asia A.S. Shambilov, the national expert/consultant of the PRI M.Tastanova, the Chairperson of the PMC in Shymkent and the Turkestan Region, the Head of the Association of Lawyers of the SKR Khobdabergenova R.R.
During the event, the First Vice-Rector of the M. Auezov SKSU Nurmanbetov Kairat Enbekshievich and the regional director of the PRI in Central Asia Azamat Shambilov made a welcoming speech.
In her speech, the First Vice-Rector of the M. Auezov SKSU Nurmanbetov Kairat Enbekshievich noted that the project “CAPSTONE PROJECT”, dedicated to pilot courses on human rights in Kazakhstan universities, created a new educational tool for improving the educational process and introducing research methods widely known in the international research community. The official signing of the memorandum of cooperation between M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University and the Representative Office of the International Prison Reform (PRI) in Central Asia took place at the opening ceremony, the purpose of the memorandum is to develop international cooperation, and also determines the main directions of strategic partnership and forms of joint activities.
During the meeting, trainings were held with the participation of experts in the field of international law for teachers and students of the “Faculty of Law and International Relations”, where detailed information was provided about the opportunities and conditions for participation in the “CAPSTONE PROJECT”.
